Our Story

My name is Brandon, and I am a single father, an Army veteran, and the full-time caregiver of my two incredible children, ages nine and seven, both of whom are autistic.

Every day, my children rely on routine, stability, and familiar tools to help them communicate, learn, and feel safe. As any parent of autistic children knows, even small disruptions can be overwhelming. Unfortunately, our lives have recently been turned upside down.

We are currently navigating a domestic violence–related legal situation involving their mother, and we are working through the court system to ensure the safety, stability, and well-being of our children. As part of this ongoing situation, the children’s tablets (which they use daily for learning and communication) and many of their clothes were taken and sold, leaving us struggling to replace essential items while also preparing for court.

We have an important court date scheduled for February 26, and I am doing everything in my power to protect my children and give them a secure future. However, the legal fees required to properly represent our case are more than I can manage alone.

As a veteran, I served my country with honor. I never imagined that one of my hardest battles would be fighting to protect my own children. I am asking for help not because I want to—but because my children need me to.

Your donation will go directly toward:

  • Legal fees related to our upcoming court case

  • Protecting my children from further harm

  • Helping us move toward safety, stability, and peace

Any amount—no matter how small—makes a difference. If you’re unable to donate, sharing our story also means more than you know.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for taking the time to read our story and for standing with us during this difficult time.
